Act 1- The first ghost appearance

Yet again, I find myself in the Elsinore Castle and its negative presence. I miss the town of Wittenberg- ah, so peaceful and calm. I am worried about my dear freind, Hamlet. The death of his father hit him like a storm. And it doesn't seem to stop pouring on his side of town. Nonetheless, the marriage of his mother and uncle Claudius, or should i say King Claudius now, have not made it easier on him to adapt to the changes. One, would question the motives, or simply justifications that Claudius holds. Only a couple of months after the tragic death of the King and suddently the brother decides to wed the single wife? The events that took place in the Elsinore Castle, late at night might have just added to the upheavel in Denmark. I have to admit, when Marcellus and Bernardo approached to notify the presence of a ghost, i thought they were out of their mind. It seemed too irrational. Through all the studying of philosophers at the university of Wittenberg, ghosts were supernaturals and definetly not human flesh. You could not grasp it , you could not feel it and this one was certainly not speaking to us; Marcellus, Bernardo and I. Nevertheless, science could not come between my eyes and the image standing in front me, it seemed too real. Yet, it appeared familiar-that beard, that armor, the shape and form that it took, struck me. The ghost was a reflection of the one and only, King of Denmark, Hamlet Sr. I do say reflection, only because none of us were quite sure whether it was an evil spirit; an illusion of King Hamlet or his true soul. I suggested that the ghost would speak to the familiar, it if truly was the King of Denmark. And so we left, in search of answers from our dear friend, Hamlet.
